Making little lavender sachets was much easier than I thought. It was fun and very rewarding consider how little time and effort it took. They are great for closets, drawers and make nice little gifts. =) Here are the simple steps to create your own four little ones.
make four 2 1/2 inch square sachets
lovely fabric (top) 6" x 12"
muslin or cotton fabric (inside) 6" x 12"
dried lavender buds
lace (optional)
Mark lines every 3 inches on the right side of muslin (the side not facing top fabric) to make four 3" x 6 "parts. Clip both fabric together and pin lace 2" from one end of the right side of the top fabric. Sew lace and fabric together. Then fold fabric together, inside out and sew 1/4" from edges and both sides of marked lines.
Cut along the marked lines and trim bottom corners.
Turn right side out and make a folded mark approximately 1/2" from opening. Fill sachets half full with lavender.
Close sachets along the folded mark and sew 1/4" from the edges.
