We decided to drive out to Staples Center today to pay our respect and sign the memorial board. 
There were many media people taking pictures and video. Everyone had three minutes in the area and people were very courteous. The line wasn't too bad. We waited for around forty minute. The staff was very nice. She stood there the whole time under the blazing sun in her suit to let people in, lend out sharpies and help people taking pictures.
There were various souvenir items like signature soda, dvd and newspaper clipping for sale.
I felt we were lucky and honored to be there.
